Registration for Summer 2012 Virtual Keyboarding is now open.
The registration form is available at http://tinyurl.com/bcsdvs. Rising 8th-12th grade students may register for this course.
This will be an accelerated 8 week course. Students can earn a .5 credit for successfully completing the course during the summer.
Students must have computer and internet access for this course.

Registration for Summer 2012 Physical Education is now open.
The registration form is available at the HHIMS guidance webpage and the HHIMS main office. Rising 9th grade students may register for the course.
Completed forms must be returned to the HHIMS guidance office by Friday, May 18.
Opportunities for Rising 9th Graders
Attend the Ninth Grade Orientation at the Hilton Head Island High School campus on August 7. Spend a day at the high school, learn your schedule, get your lockers, have a lunch cookout, and so much more. Registration forms are also available at the middle school front office or on the guidance website. Forms are due to Mrs. Larkby on June 7.
Rising 9th graders can register for BCSD’s Virtual Summer School to enhance student learning. Students enrolled in AP Human Geography, English 1, Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 are highly encouraged to participate. Students who successfully complete the modules will earn “extra credit” from their classroom teacher during the 2012-13 school year. Register online today at http://goo.gl/TAV77.

Immunization Changes for the 2012-2013 school year include:
v The addition of EIGHTH grade to include four (4) doses of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis.
South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is also providing information in advance of a future immunization requirement. This requirement does not apply to the 2012-2013 school year but will begin 2013-2014 school year.
v One dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine on or after their 7th birthday for all seventh graders. In order to ensure compliance with this future immunization requirement, I recommend contacting your child’s immunization provider as soon as possible to update his/her immunization record and sending in an updated immunization record for his/her school health record before the mandatory requirement.
Remember, South Carolina’s law requires that all children have a valid current South Carolina Certificate of Immunization on file in order to attend school.
